On arrival get settled in your new home as you get quick tips on the culture of Jamaica. The rest of the day is to explore your new community. Tonight have a welcome dinner and hang out with your new friends as you get to know each other.

Pack your bags and travel to the stunning city of Ocho Rios for the rest of your trip. Located in the parish of Saint Ann on the north coast of Jamaica, Ocho Rios is affectionately known as the Spanish for “Eight Rivers”. Once a fishing village, it has now become a hot spot for travelers visiting the North coast, and locals affectionately call it “Ochi”.
Next, you’ll do a community tour to explore the town, Shop your way through Jamaica and experience the vibrant culture! Get lost in a maze of craft markets, stores, and boutiques as you explore unique Jamaican treasures. From handicrafts to natural products – take a piece of paradise home with you.
At the end of your tour, swim at the local beach or relax at the hotel pool.
Want a night out? Go on a fun adventure through the vibrant city of Ocho Rios. Explore all the different places there like chic lounges and live Reggae music spots.
Today you’ll head off to immerse yourself in the life of Jamaica’s first indigenous people, the Maroons. Our first exciting stop is the Buff Bay Market. See fresh stacks of fruits and vegetables and chat with local vendors as they compete against each other to help you make the best purchase.
Your final stop is the home of the Charles Town Maroon. Start by visiting the museum and learn stories of how the slaves kept the African culture alive through drumming & dancing. Participate in drumming and dancing. Have lunch and finish the day by swimming in the cool… cool… river. Make sure you charge your phones – you’ll be taking a lot of pictures!
Enjoy a full day in Ocho Rios, tailored to your personal interests. Relax by the hotel pool with stunning views of the nearby beach, or take a dip in the crystal-clear waters at one of the nearby beaches and watch the locals play beach football.
For a unique experience, try your hand at Jamaican cuisine with a local cooking class and discover a different side of Ocho Rios. Before the trip, we’ll share our favorite hangouts with you.
Next stop is the Portland Highlights tour. You’ll journey to Portland to enter a world of waterfalls and lush vegetation. First, take a quick stop in Port Antonio and see the town that Errol Flynn the movie star found. This town and the outskirts will take your breath away.
Experience the Blue Lagoon, a popular hideaway for the rich and famous. Take a boat ride, swim, or dive in the lagoon. Then, head to Boston Bay, the birthplace of “Jerk” cooking, where you can indulge in a delicious meal on the beach and even try surf lessons.
Finally, end your day in Port Antonio at the Errol Flynn Marina. Relax by the harbor, enjoy the famous Devon House “Ice Cream,” and watch boats pass by. A perfect end to a memorable day.
